Performance
1. Hard texture, the Moh's hardness is about 9, be second only to diamond, belongs to hard material in non-metallic material field;
2. Superior strength in normal temperature, as well as it under 1200-1400℃. The maximum service temperature can be reached up to 1650-1750℃ for the environment is different.
3. Small thermal expansion.SiC products with the advantages of high thermal conductivity and hard to produce thermal stress, compare SiC products with Si3N4 Bonded SiC products, the latter maintains high thermal shock resistance, long service life. As Si3N4 Bonded SiC with the features of strong creep-resistance in high temperature, high corrosion resistance, extremely cold or hot resistance, and antioxidant, it can be made into products which with high dimensional accuracy easily.

Silicon Carbide Bricks For Waste Incineration Plant
The shape of bricks used in waste incinerator is more complex. The garbage incineration power generation projects are fixed in the heat pipe brick with ceramic bolts, pipe dynamic water. Using silicon nitride bonded silicon carbide to conduct high heat conduction, the heat generated by garbage incineration is transmitted to the heating water of the pipe to generate electricity. The corrosion and oxidation resistance of silicon nitride bonded silicon carbide is used to deal with a lot of corrosive and strong oxidizing gases generated by garbage incineration.
These products are obtained by reaction sintering of a mix of SiC with Si fines and additives and nitridation in N2 atmosphere at~1450℃
The following reaction would take place:
3Si+2N2→Si3N4
3Si+SiO2+2N2→2Si2N2O
Si3N4+SiO2→2Si2N2O
Si3N4 Si2N2O act as binder for the SiC grains
